i am a sicilian engineer, scientist and artist based in san francisco. i studied in italy and canada (completed my engineering studies in italy and my phd at mila in montreal) before moving to the united states, and I focus on building AI agents.

i am interested in technological and scientific progress, and in how we can steer it towards positive impact for society. i aspire to be a pragmatic humanist, and to build a future where technology and science are in harmony with human values, creativity, and well-being.
